Steve Funsten
As the owner and manager of Blue Ox Timber, Steve has spent 20 years growing the
enterprise into one of the most trusted and capable timbering companies in North Georgia.
Steve is a hands-on owner, preferring to run the Hydro Ax cutter himself in order to
ensure the satisfaction the landowner. Steve also periodically fills in on the loader, the
skidder, the dozer, and as mechanic or secretary as needs require. Some even think he's
the boss! |

M&A Trucking
Blue Ox Timber has enjoyed a 5 year relationship with M&A Trucking owned by Melvin
Branch. M&A is the primary transport contractor used to move the harvested timber to
the lumber mills. |

Sylvester Johnson
Sylvester has been with Blue Ox Timber for 6 years. Boasting over 50 years experience in
the woods, Sylvester started work at age eleven using mules and crosscut saws to harvest
timber. He typically operates the Prentice 310 loader, sorting timber and loading the
trailers, but also fills in on the dozer when necessary. Sylvester is as dependable as his
years of experience suggest. |

Robert Amos
Robert has been a reliable facet of Blue Ox Timber for 4 years. He is the primary
Timberjack skidder operator, responsible for removing the timber from the the woods
without damage to it or the remaining trees. Robert left the welding trade to join Blue Ox
Timber and through his hard work and intelligence, has become a better skidder operator
than many with 20 years experience. Robert is married with 7 children. |
